VALLEY CREST HALF MARATHON

SUNDAY, JUNE 10, 2012 

Early registration for the 11th annual VCHM has been extended throughout the weekend until 11:59 PM on Sunday, April 1. Register now to avoid late fees and to guarantee your choice of shirt size. BULLDOG 50K ULTRA RUN & 25K TRAIL RUNS  

SATURDAY, AUGUST 25, 2012 

Registration is now open for the 21st annual Bulldog Trail Runs in beautiful Malibu Creek State Park. Early registration for the Bulldog Trail Runs extends through April 30 but due to increasing park fees, these prices are subject to change unless you register now. A new registration process has been established for the Bulldog Runs. In place of online registration, you will submit your entry application through our website and put check or money order in the mail. This system gives you an automatic savings since you wont be paying online registration fees.

NEW 50K QUALIFIER REQUIREMENT 

All 50K entrants must submit one of the following:

(A) Official finisher at any previous 50K mountain trail run (give name/year/time), or.........

(B) Sub-4:00 finisher at any previous Bulldog 25k Trail Run (give year/time), or..........

(C) Sub-5:00 marathon finish within 12-months (give year/time)

 

ULTRALADIES GROUP TRAINING 

The UltraLadies 2012 training season begins on April 7 and meets on biweekly on Saturdays until the end of August. The UltraLadies is a free training group since 1994 that will safely build up your mileage and knowledge base as you prepare for your first ultra. Newbie and experienced runners are invited! Our friend and Sponsor Trey Barnes at Fleet Feet Sports Encino will be running a 24-hour solo run to raise money for CATS: Center for Assault Treatment Services.

 

Details on the CATS 24-Hour Run Challenge:

1. The challenge will start at 6:30AM on April 14 and end at Woodley Park at 7:00AM on April 15 just in time for the CATS 5k/10k.

2. Trey will start at Woodley Park at the race start. He will then go by Fleet Feet Sports Encino on Ventura Blvd. and start up to the Nike Missile Tower. The route will be to the ocean and around the San Fernando Valley.

3. ANYONE can join! Running buddies, biking buddies, food, moral support, etc. Please email trey@fleetfeetencino.com if you are interested!

4. Ways you can DONATE: flat donation, amount/mile, amount/hour, amount/calorie, elevation gain
