Greetings Ahmanson 12K Trail Runner,

We are in the final countdown for the new A12K Trails in beautiful Upper Las Virgenes Canyon, Ahmanson Ranch.  Included in this email are some final instructions to help make your running experience safe and enjoyable.

The race date is Saturday, March 7, 2015.

The Location and Directions are:  Ahmanson Victory Trailhead, 25000 Victory Blvd, West Hills, CA.

Parking will be street parking on both sides of Victory Blvd. We have obtained a permit from the City to park in the upper fenced area on Victory. Please follow instructions of the parking attendants. Please turn your front wheels into the curb.

Bib Pickup and Race Day Registration will be from 6:00 a.m. to 7:55 a.m. Please bring your proof of pre-registration to pick up your bib.

The Race will start at 8:00 a.m.  Course closure is 11:00 a.m. This should allow plenty of time for participants who need to walk parts of the course.

The racecourse is open to the public on race day. Please be courteous to other trail users.

There will be one water station located at approximately mile 3.3 on the course and all runners are required to carry one bottle of water with them during the run that you may refill your bottle at the water station. We will also serve Gatorade at the water station.

The racecourse will be marked with flour arrows on the ground and with occasional surveyor ribbons. Race volunteers will be stationed at strategic points to help you navigate critical turns in the right direction. You should not require any special trail shoes however shoes with good traction is recommended. You may encounter mud and/or water crossing on the racecourse.

The weather forecast for race day is 73-degrees and sunny however this event may be cancelled for heavy rainfall on race day or in the few days prior to race day. In the event of cancellation, the race will be rescheduled, as soon as possible, according to availability on the permit calendar. Any news of rain cancellation will be posted here in LATEST INFO.

Please be aware that dogs and baby joggers are not permitted during the race.

The race will offer awards to the first place runners in each category: Male Overall; Female Overall; First Place Male Team; First Place Female Team; First Place Mixed Team; First Place Male in 5-Year Age Divisions; First Place Female in 5-Year Age Divisions.
