Rex: (50) This was my first Ultra Race and I needed a lot of help from one of your volunteers, Deb. I was having a lot of problems with the heat when I ran into her at the top of Bulldog on my 2nd loop, I believe she was following the 25Kers. At the time I was feeling sick and discouraged and she was able to get be back to health. After an hour of recovery at the 6th aid station I was able to pick myself up and run the rest of the race finishing in just under 7 hours. I would not have been able to finish without Deb's help. She turned what would have been a DNF into a very enjoyable experience at the Bulldog 50k.
Summer: (50) It was so great to see you this weekend. You did a fabulous job organizing the Bulldog. What you did for Kathy with the Moose bib was so thoughtful and I am very glad that she wore it.
Steve: (25) I just wanted to thank you, your staff, and your volunteers for what was the most difficult yet most enjoyable run that I have ever done! Everything from the pre-race informational e-mails to the organization of the staging area were handled exceptionally well. And the course could not have been marked better. This was my first race of this type at this distance, and it could not have been a better first experience, though my quads might disagree, and probably will for another day or two. I hope to see you next year.
Lisa: (50) I ran the 50K yesterday.... my first ultra. Thanks for a wonderful and beautiful run--I plan to do it again next year!
Jimmy: (50) In the face of many challenges (course wrecking bandits), you put on an outstanding event this year. It was only my second 50k, and I had a blast. I've done two of your races now (the Valley Crest Half in 2007 and Bulldog 50k in 2008) and I have personal bests for trail races at those two distances to show for it. The weather could have been worse (the fog was gorgeous, and the views up top Bulldog Mountain were unparalleled)! Your volunteers were amazing, every aid station was very well run and organized, and I was particularly impressed with how they handled us "50k'ers in a hurry, especially when we were overlapping some of the slower 25k'ers. Thank you for hosting an outstanding event this year. I had a great time, as did my friends there with me (including Amy Gravengaard who is celebrating her 31st birthday, TODAY, with her first ever ultra, 31-miles on her 31st!).
Gerry: (25) Thanks again for another wonderful Bulldog event, especially the well-marked course. I hope to be back next year.
Andre and the Dianetics Running Team: On behalf of the team I'd like to thank you once again for pulling off another superbly organized race, in spite of all odds. You really know how to do it! Thank you for doing what you do, and we look forward to many more.
Mark: Both my girlfriend and I took part in this years Bulldog run and we would both like to say a big thank you to yourself and all the other helpers. We both thoroughly enjoyed the race.
Cherryl: (25) Thank you again for putting on a great race! I am still struggling to walk normally 3 days after the race (and I "only" did the 25K!) - I will continue to do this race because it's unlike an other - 25K goes by so quickly when you have to watch where you're going, can enjoy the gorgeous scenery and yes, have to climb Bulldog - it's a challenge! Please thank all the volunteers, from the people at the registration who were so friendly and nice to the volunteers at the aid stations who are so helpful and encouraging! You have a wonderful crew of people.
Bart: (50) I had a great time running my first ultra. That last downhill hurt a bit, but I suppose if it didn't, I wasn't running hard enough. I enjoyed the beauty of the course as well; as an Idaho guy, I hadn't been in the mountains around here yet, so it was good to run on dirt for the day. You all did a great job of taking care of the athletes, and the aid stations couldn't have been better stocked with great volunteers and needed food and drink. Thank you again for introducing me to ultra! My goal is to work towards running my first 100-miler next year, so any suggestions that you could make would be graciously received.
Cheri: (25) Thanks for such an enjoyable day. Your team, crew, and volunteers were awesome. My kids were able to volunteer for a while, which allowed it to be a total family experience. Dad had to wait his turn, as we alternate depending on who is running vs. watching. Had a great time, and can't wait to come back out next year.
John: (50) BD 50K was great! I enjoyed the race very much. The two loops were challenging and fun to take on… Wow! The morning fog was great, even a bit chilly. All your volunteers were fantastic and the aid stops just great! Great job all of you! Despite the "incidents with ribbons and imposter's" you had another very successful race! Perhaps why you have these 'types" come along into Bulldog, which is one very popular legendary Ultra Run in Southern California, it attracts these "types". You handle this very well and professionally Nancy, not sure what I'd do! Congratulations to all the finishers and those who attempted.
Sarah: (50) Thanks for putting on a great race! It was my first ultra - definitely a tough course (the downhill more so than the up!)!
