- I wanted to send a quick note to thank you for an excellent race. I’ve been an avid triathlete for many years and have found my diversion this year to trail running to be incredibly rewarding both with training and with my race experiences (all 2 of them to-date!) I’m learning that trail runners are an incredibly friendly group of folks. Thanks again for a great race; I’ll be back in 2011! – Diana

- I wanted to congratulate you on a job well-done! You put on a great race and, as tough as the conditions were yesterday, I am glad I accomplished what I set out to do. You were incredible as a trainer, but more so, invaluable as a source of friendship and motivation. I also wanted to make sure I thanked the staff at the aid stations; they were amazing! There was one person in particular that was especially great, Dennis, at the first aid station (the foot of bulldog) as i started loop #2. I was just so tired and hot; I wanted to give up. BUT, Dennis was so helpful. His voice was so soothing! He helped fill my hydration pack, he asked if i was ok, and then just encouraged me to keep moving! Really, all the folks in that first aid station were so great, but he helped me directly, and was extra attentive to me. There was also a very nice guy at Tapia that was also good to me. He noticed that I just wanted to cry, not give up, but just cry (I was so done), he told me to just keep moving, that I looked great (yeah right!), and that I was 2.6 miles away...at that point, I thought, "I can do 2.6..." Im sure you hear these accounts hundreds of times over, but again, thank you... I could not have done this without you! – Rebecca Ronquillo (50K)

Many thanks - Henry Clark (volunteer)
